Issue status, notes and ignore rules
Mark issues as won't fix or false positive, add notes, hide third-party widgets, and track what is fixed.
Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | Still to do. |
| Needs manual check | Software cannot decide; a person should look. |
| Won't fix | You decided not to fix it. Hidden from the next scan's score and counts. |
| False positive | Not actually a problem. Hidden from the next scan's score and counts. |
| Fixed | Set automatically when an issue no longer appears in a later scan. |
Set a status on a whole group or on single elements in the issue details. Status follows an issue from scan to scan. You can reopen won't fix and false positives at any time on the site's Issues page.
Notes
Add a note to a group, for example who is fixing it or why it is not a problem. Notes are visible to your team.
Ignore rules
In the site's settings, under Ignore rules, hide findings you cannot fix, such as a third-party chat widget. A rule can match a rule id, a selector pattern (* matches anything, for example #chat-widget*), or both. Ignored findings are not counted, and the report says how many were hidden.
