Scanning policy

Last updated: 2026-10-14

Who may scan which site

Free scans check one page of any public website, up to a small daily limit per visitor.

Larger scans and scheduled monitoring require you to confirm that you are allowed to scan the site, and sites you have verified as yours can be scanned more deeply. Verification uses a meta tag, a DNS record or a file on your site.

Respect for the sites we scan

We obey robots.txt, identify ourselves as AccessibilityBriefBot, limit concurrent requests per site, and keep screenshots only as long as the report is retained.

Site owners can ask us to stop scanning their domain at any time; see the AccessibilityBriefBot page.

What we do with the results

Results are shown to the person who requested the scan and to anyone they choose to share a link with. Free results are deleted after 7 days. Paid reports are kept for 12 months, then deleted.
