What AccessibilityBrief does

An overview of AccessibilityBrief: what it checks, what you get for each issue, and what automated testing cannot do.

AccessibilityBrief checks websites for accessibility problems and gives you the exact fix for each issue it finds. It tests pages against WCAG 2.2 at levels A and AA, at desktop and phone size, and turns every finding into a plain explanation, code before and after, steps for your platform and a prompt for your AI tools.

What you get for each issue

  • What is wrong, in plain language, and who it affects (for example screen reader users or people with low vision).
  • The WCAG success criterion it concerns, with a link to the W3C explanation.
  • Every affected element: page, selector, HTML and a screenshot.
  • Steps to fix it, and code before and after built from your own markup.
  • Instructions for WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Next.js or Lovable when your platform is detected.
  • Prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Lovable, Bolt or v0.

What it does not do

  • It never adds a script, widget or overlay to your site. The fixes are made in your site's own code and content.
  • Automated tests find only part of what WCAG covers. Things like the quality of alt text, keyboard order or caption accuracy need a person, so every report includes a manual checklist.
  • A report is not a legal opinion and does not say whether a law applies to you.
