Who is responsible

AccessibilityBrief is run by the company named on our contact page, which is responsible for your data.

What we collect

Account data: your email address and name, used to sign you in and send scan notifications. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Scan data: the addresses you scan, the issues found, and screenshots of affected elements. Screenshots can contain content from the scanned page.

Support and contact messages: what you write to us in a support request or through the contact form, and our replies.

Connections you set up: if you connect GitHub, Slack, an AI provider or a login for a protected site, we store the tokens, keys or passwords you give us, encrypted, and use them only for that connection.

Usage data: a salted hash of your IP address is kept to apply the daily free scan limit. We do not store the raw address for this purpose.

Why we use it

We use your data to provide the service you signed up for or asked for (performance of a contract), to keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations such as tax records, which Paddle keeps as our Merchant of Record.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the service needs: one that keeps you signed in and one that remembers your language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

Free scan results: 7 days. Paid reports: 12 months. Support requests: as long as your account exists. Account data: until you delete your account. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Who processes it

We use hosting, file storage, email delivery, payment, bot-protection and error-reporting providers to run the service. They process data only to provide those functions. Error reports contain technical details about the failure, not your cookies, form contents or account details.

Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details; we never see or store your card number.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to how we use it. Contact us through our contact page.

If you are in the EU or the UK and think we handle your data wrongly, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
